DANCE STYLES: INTERNATIONAL FOLK DANCE

NEWSFLASH:

• International Folk Dancing
  is held at the Presbyterian Church in Arcata at 11th & G Streets every Friday evening. It's just $4.00. On the first Friday of the month the party is downstairs from about 8:00-11:00pm with live music. Finger food potluck! On other Fridays it's upstairs with teachers from 7:30-9:15pm and open dancing until 11:00pm. (visit their site)
• Contra Dancing
  You don't need to know anything about dance to enjoy, and you don't need to bring a partner. Contra Dances are usually held the 2nd Saturday of every month at 8:00 pm at the Arcata Veterans Hall, 14th and J Streets, Arcata, California. Admission is $6.00 general, $5.00 for HFS members. • Humboldt Folklife Festival
  Held every July in Blue Lake at and around Dell Arte. Featuring a whole week of music and dance performances, classes, and fun for the whole family. To learn more, visit www.humboldtfolklife.org.
• Arcata Folk Dance Festival
